The Scholars Behind Our Translations

  • (d. 230 Hijri / 845 CE)

    His biographical encyclopedia on the lives of the Prophet’s companions and early Islamic leaders preserves the lives of the earliest Muslims, offering inspiration to generations seeking connection to Islamic history. His works were a source to translate and adapt to our Special Sahabah and Wonderful Women collection.

  • (d. 256 Hijri / 870 CE)

    One of the most revered scholars in Islamic history, dedicated his life to collecting the authentic sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), ensuring that only the most reliable narrations were preserved for generations. His Sahih al-Bukhari is considered the most authentic collection of Hadith and was used as a basis for our hadith collection.

  • (d. 261 Hijri / 875 CE)

    A towering figure in Islamic scholarship, devoted his life to compiling the most authentic and reliable Hadith, earning him a distinguished place as one of the foremost Hadith collectors. His work, Sahih Muslim, is regarded as one of the most authentic collections second to Imam Bukhari. This makes him a trusted source for teaching the core values of Islam to children. His work was used for our Hadith collection.

    His meticulous methodology and reliance on early sources make his work on history and Qur’an commentary timeless references, inspiring modern readers with their depth and clarity. His writings were a basis for our Tafseer of Qur’an and Powerful Prophets collection.

  • (d. 463 Hijri / 1071 CE)

    A powerhouse of knowledge during the Islamic Golden Age. His ability to blend scholarship with moral and spiritual lessons ensures his works continue to inspire those exploring Islamic history and spirituality. His writings were a source to adapt the Special Sahabah and Super Scholars collection.

  • (d. 581 Hijri / 1185 CE)

    A prominent hadith scholar dedicated to compiling and verifying authentic traditions but seldom remembered. His work on the Female Companions showcases their roles in the spiritual and social fabric of the early Muslim community and was used for our Wonderful Women collection.

  • (d. 671 Hijri / 1273 CE)

    His commentary on the Quran emphasizes practical applications of Islamic teachings. His focus on ethics and everyday spirituality makes his work as relevant today as it was centuries ago, bridging classical wisdom with modern life. His commentary on the Qur’an was heavily relied upon for our Tafseer extracts.

  • (d. 676 Hijri / 1277 CE)

    Born in Syria in the 13th century, he dedicated his life to learning and teaching Islam. Despite his deep knowledge, he lived simply, focused on good manners and helping others. His commentary on Bukhari & Muslim was used for our Hadith collection.
